Key Accountabilities
Design and develop applications in the WPF and C#.Net
Capture requirements
Evaluate and test new technologies
Continually look for ways to improve the functionalities of the Company’s Windows applications
Keep abreast of changes, trends and initiatives within the IT industry
Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Company’s products and services
On an ongoing basis, comply with the rules, requirements and principles of the Financial Services
and Markets Act relating to general insurance which are relevant to the department and role
Remain self-motivated and enthusiastic at all times
Work as part of the team, share experience and knowledge and be willing to learn from others
Be supportive of the Company and its vision generally
Practise the Company ethos of “How may I help you?
Maintain exemplary conduct at all times
Required Essential Skills
Be highly proficient in designing and developing applications in the WPF and C#.Net
Extensive experience of Xaml
Experience of MVVM
Working knowledge of Expression Blend
Experience of .NET 3.0 and above is essential
Experience of Prism Framework would be an advantage
Experience of LINQ would be an advantage
Experience of test driven development (in particular with mocking) would be an advantage
Experience of WCF and SOA would be an advantage
Ability to work with minimal supervision to tight deadlines and within regulatory rules and
regulations
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
A willingness to question the tradition to find a better way
A genuine commitment to service delivery
Note : successful candidate will have to travel to the UK at times throughout their employment and
would be required to spend the first 3 to 4 weeks of employment in the UK to complete induction .
